Hello! I give you a warm, loving welcome to my new blog!!

I am so excited to share my journey with you all. I hope that I will make many new friends. It is my hearts desire to bring God all the glory and hope I am able to encourage you in your walk as your sister in Christ. I desire to also encourage you where ever your at in your journey of life!

I hope you got your hot cuppa something delish (coffee, tea, cider or my fav, Chai Latte!! )
Cozy up and let us get to know one another!

My name is Claire. I am 30 years old. I am married to Eric, my amazing, wonderful husband and together we have four children, so far. Andrew is almost 12 years old

and he is my brave protector. He is a wonderful big brother to his younger siblings and desires to be in our military one day. He is also my biggest challenge! He has a super soft heart and is full of imagination
Ella is our first daughter. She is 10.

She is very sweet and also pretty sassy! She is a great mother's helper and has thee most kind, merciful heart I have ever known. She wants to be a mommy one day and have her own restaurant!
Carter is my third guy. He is 8 years old. And I think he is a talented builder!
He is silly and fun and super super smart! He was our last baby until God spoke to our hearts (mine and my husbands) about giving our lives over to him in every area, including our family size. This is when we first began to meditate on the verse. Psalm 127:1
Unless the Lord builds the house,
    its builders labor in vain
Around a year later we got pregnant with baby number 4,  our sweet Lilah, she is now 17 months old.

She is such a sweet girl, so much that I call her "Sugar" all the time. She is also a challenge! She loves her mama, so much so she insists on sleeping between myself and Eric every night and she nurses a lot during the day. She, like her sister was when she was a baby, had colic and is a toddler that loves to climb and is into everything! We are glad for her in our family. She has brought such joy to our whole family!

So... This is my family!

I love love LOVE being a mama!!! It is what I feel like I was born to do!
I never thought I would be a mom though. I thought children "ruined" your life and were just sticky little whiners that kept you from "really living".
Thankfully, not long after I met my husband, that all changed.

Eric and I met at work. We both worked at a nursing home, he worked as a nurses aid and I worked as a prep cook in the kitchen.
Eric was much older then I was, but I didn't care! We met and it was a whirl wind romance that quickly led to us living together, before we were married.
He and I were both Christians, but neither of us were walking with the Lord at the time and we were living sinfully.
I am glad , though, that he and I both knew Christ. He was in our lives at times, the times we would allow him to be. We had one baby, our first little boy, it was wonderful and we were both so in love with him and one another! Eight months after Andrew was born, we got married,

the next month we found out we were expecting again! I was totally thrilled!! But also a bit scared! Another baby! How would we do it? How would we provide for our growing family?
That took us out of our small town into the big city, to take a "better" job. Sometime later, baby Ella was born. I was SO happy! A baby boy and now a baby girl!!! Our family was "complete" !
Well, turns out that city living just is not for us, so back to our small town we went not to long after Ella was born. I was so glad to be back "home".
About four months after Ella was born, I heard God calling to me, I  did my best to pretend I didn't though, but eventually, I got "tired" of hearing him calling to me and I responded "WHAT?!?! What do you want from me?!?" He gently, sweetly, and simply said, "I want you." and I melted and gave him my heart!
We started going to church and a small bible study group for young married couples. It was wonderful! I drank up the knowledge and desired to learn what it meant to be a godly wife and mom.
We grew in our faith steadily and eventually I got bit by the baby bug again. Not long after we found out baby number three was on the way!! Yippee! I was so happy to be expecting again, and for the final time I strongly believed! Especially after the responses we got from family, friends and church to our joyful news of our expanding family.
We heard " You know what causes this, right?" and "Your going to be done now, right?" and also people expressing there concern, about how we could provide for a bigger family, how could we have enough, space, time, money, and even love for another child.
None the less, Eric and I were so thrilled to be having another little one!
Carter was born early in the morning during the hot summer. And I knew he belonged in our family! I could not even think of my life with out him in it!!!
Time passed, kids got bigger, and we grew even more in our walk with God.
A lot happened! And I do mean A LOT!  But honestly, that is why I started this blog and we can get into that more later!
Five years after Carter was born, God was working on our hearts, again, and we started to pray about having yet another little baby. It was clear to us that it was what God wanted and what we wanted as well. We took the steps we needed to take, at the time, to begin trying to get prego again. It took a long 6 months and I FINALLY saw those beautiful, blessed two pink lines on the pregnancy test! Lilah Grace was born 9 months later, and is such a huge blessing to us all!
Now we are trying to have faith and trust God for our family size. It isn't always easy! But we are walking day by day, hand in hand, on the path God has called us to. This is what my little blog is about....
Faith* Family* Being married* Children* Homeschooling* Housekeeping* and Life*
So hope you'll join me as I ramble on about my life and all that God is doing in it!

Thank you and God Bless until next time!!!
